Oktoberfest's Running of the Wieners will be held on Sunday October 5th, at the Western Washington Fair and Events Center - Directions and map are on the bottom of our CONTACT US page.
ONLY DACHSHUNDS AND OF COURSE SERVICE DOGS ARE ALLOWED IN TO THE EVENT!

Day-of registration for the races will be open between 11am and 12:15pm. Day-of Registration will be $15 and Pre-Registration will be $10 for racing dogs. Contests are $5 and registration for those can be made up to 15 minutes before the Contest takes place. If you have non-participating Dachshunds you would like to bring along, they are welcome with a $5 donation to the event, or call Sheri for info 360-580-2201.

All Coordinators of this event are private individuals. As such, upon registering for this event you release any and all liability and waive the right to sue any party involved in the coordination of said event, their volunteers and agents from any and all claims, including claims of negligence, resulting in physical injury to myself or my dog, illness or economic loss as a result of participation in the activity, travel to/from the activity or any events incidental to the activity. I assume all risks either known or unknown to myself for participating in the activity. Should any medical attention for myself or my dog be required I assume all financial costs for these services. Pre-registration in non-refundable.

1st: This event is all about family-friendly FUN! Judges reserve the right to warn, disqualify and/or REMOVE any ill-behaved participant, whether canine or human, at their discretion.
2nd: We feel it is important for all of our participants to know that we independently coordinate and manage the races for Oktoberfest every year. We are not affiliated with any other area Wiener Races or the individuals who coordinate said races. Your support is greatly appreciated and if you have questions please do not hesitate to contact us directly!

Open registration will be available in person from 11 to 12:15 on Sunday for the races, and contest registration is open up to 15 minutes before each contest begins. Please see the schedule on the home page. See you all on the 5th! WHEN CHECKING OUT, PLEASE PUT YOUR DOG'S NAME IN THE NOTES TO SELLER PORTION!!
Things are a little different this year. Our longtime volunteer, Jenny, who's been with us for many years, is unable to be with us for 2025, so please bear with a few changes. We will not be offering predetermined heats for registered dogs. You will still be saving money and guaranteed a spot on Sunday the 5th, however the heats will be determined as people check in. The sooner you arrive to check in, the earlier your heat will be.
We apologize for the inconvenience, we're training our daughter Abbie this year, to take over registration and check-in, and we're testing things out to see if it will help the event registration, as a whole, run a little smoother. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
We will still be listing pre-registered dogs on the website, so keep a look out for your dog's name!
